I traded two big boxes of vintage clothing to my favorite store in Salt Lake City. The very nice young man said the total came to $500 and I could have $250 in credit or $175 in cash. So I like totally took the credit and here is the inventory:

He had three black john Wayne shirts, but we wanted color. I didn't find any sailor collar tops. Most of the men's boots he had were cowboy or ankle high. He only had a couple of wedding dresses that looked like princess dresses. It is a fun store I love going there and trading for item we need for plays or costumes. I am quite pleased with the transaction and am getting another box of clothing ready to trade.

Barbershop stuff

A nice lady from town called to say they were getting rid of Barbershop items.

Miss Piggies/Kermit

Here is the quilt group in our Miss Piggy outfits. Lori/Kermit was worried about her hair. The little girl finally decided to wear a nose. She was adorable.

So here is moi modeling the frog costume with your choice of two different kinds of gloves.

Our quilt group is dressing up for Hog wild Days for the Island city parade on Saturday June 5th. I suggested we dress as Miss Piggies. I purchased 5 new noses and gave ideas for costumes. Haven't heard back. I want to borrow some pink pantaloons from Denise to see if the gals want to use those.

Miss Piggy outfits include: Benjamina Gunn from Muppet Treasure Island, Dorothy (braided blonde wig) , Glinda, Wicked witch (she dresses as a biker, black wig), Nurse Piggy (green hospital clothes), Pigs in Space (silver), and Spy Piggy (trench-coat and gloves); there are many more but these are the ones I have costumes for. She always has a pig nose, blonde wig, pearls and lavender gloves to make her costumes one of a kind. I also have a felt frog head with collar and gloves for Kermit, who will be our driver.

Earlene said she would dress up with moi and her husband will be Kermie, driving for us.

Who wants to join us? I'll bring pink parasols...

Uncle sam

I rented my Uncle Sam hat and goatee to an EOU student doing an editorial picture for a class project.

I finished sewing costumes for Joseph. I did two of the robes for the brothers and and Jacob's brown robe. I made one black skirt for a narrator. I made 18 small gold collars for the children's chorus. Maureen borrowed a page worth of items I already had from the collection in the basement. The safari hat Jacob wears at the end is Bruce's. He wore it when he fell off a cliff. It is a fam heirloom. Ask him about it.
