Cream colored dress with hat

 Here are a few made over dresses to fit the Titanic era.
The cream lacy dress is a sz small.We can add gloves and jewelry.
The red dress is a size large, it has a sheer train in back. It needs glooves an jewelry too.
 I made the rust colored skirt and top from a velvet bedspread I found at a yard sale. I added the peach cravat and lace to the top. I t also has peach lace gloves, sz L
I am making over the  pale blue night gown and  white dress. I want to add a  dark blue skirt and sash and put dark blue piping around the vee neck collar to match a photo I saw on line.

Arsenic and Old Lace

I helped with a couple of items for the high school play Arsenic and Old Lace.
They used:
a black ruffled top
a black hat
2 veils
a black taffeta skirt with 2 ruffles on the back
2 black lace shawls with fringe
4 Billie clubs, 4 silver police badges
The students did their own costumes and make up. Adults assisted with items the students didn't have.

Titanic Reproduction Clothing

This is a reproduction bathing suit with modesty skirt.  It has red tights under it and a tank top modesty panel under neath. It is made of cotton. Most bathing suits from that time era were made of wool.

Getting ready to use some vintage clothing for a Titanic display in May at the high school. I have an apron with pleats, 2 bustles for dress padding,
women's drawers with button opening, crocheted lace edging,
black plaid pants with button crotch, 
some corduroy knickers with buttons on the front sides & on the leg closures.
 I purchased all these items from a yard sale; was assured the clothes were from 1900- 1915. Please click on the photos for larger view.

Da Vinci Faire

Just rented 6 adult costumes for the Da Vinci Faire at the local elementary school.

A recorder group is preforming while parents & community members look at the projects the students put together; science inquiry, engineering design, inventing & acquired knowledge projects.

Slue Foot Sue & Disney princesses

I rented a Slue Foot Sue dress. She needed a hoop skirt to go with the Pecos Bill tale. We found a pink dress and put the hoop skirt underneath, added a bandanna, gloves and white high button shoes. They were pleased. Go here for story http://americanfolklore.net

Another rental we had was a Disney princess dress for the mom for her daughter's Disney Princess birthday party. She wanted a dress with a full skirt. The dress that fit her was pink. Afterwards I found a picture of Briar Rose. We needed to add a gold choker and gold tiara. I will make a white waist belt and the dress will be similar to Disney. They also took a red King's cape and crown for dad to wear. Most dads would do anything for their beautiful 4 year old daughters.

I do have a Snow White outfit, and a Jasmine outfit. Now I will add Briar Rose.
